📢REGISTRATION IS OPEN! | 2026 CROSS-BORDER CONFERENCE | OCT 1-2 | Skamania Lodge
Join us October 1-2, 2026 for two days of cross-border connection, insights, and unforgettable scenery at the 2026 TMA Northwest Cross-Border Conference, sponsored by Amplēo. The conference will be held at the beautiful Skamania Lodge in the scenic Columbia River Gorge! 🌄
The 2026 Cross-Border Conference is designed to foster meaningful connections and maximize networking opportunities. In place of traditional afternoon panel sessions, following the luncheon attendees will have the opportunity to continue building connections through small-group activities or enjoy free time to explore and experience the beauty of the Columbia River Gorge on their own.
📅 Thursday, October 1:
Kick off the conference at the Opening Reception sponsored by High Plateau Asset Management and enjoy an evening of networking and connection surrounded by stunning mountain views in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge.
📅 Friday, October 2:
Enjoy a half-day of conference programming starting with a Keynote Speaker Presentation by Carl J. Riccadonna, State of Oregon Chief Economist and Head of the Office of Economic Analysis, sponsored by Miller Nash. Riccadonna will provide an outlook on the Pacific Northwest economy, followed by a moderated panel of executives from manufacturing, agriculture, and hospitality sharing what they are seeing on the ground. The session will connect economic trends in growth, labor, credit, inflation, and consumer demand with real-world business conditions, operating decisions, and regional risks.
Session 1: A moderated panel of leading state, federal, and Canadian receivers will share practical experiences from their respective jurisdictions, highlighting the key differences in authority, process, stakeholder management, asset control, and court oversight. The session will provide attendees with a comparative view of how receiverships are used across jurisdictions and what professionals should understand when navigating different types of receivership proceedings.
Session 2: This panel will explain how distressed assets are turned into cash. Panelists will discuss valuation, sale strategy, legal issues, auctions, buyer demand, and common challenges that impact recovery, while sharing how professionals work together to preserve value and complete a successful sale process.
Luncheon Session: Turnaround professionals operate in high-pressure environments where conflict, uncertainty, urgency, and difficult decisions are part of the job. In this lunch session, a trained therapist shares their powerful story of resilience and recovery, offering a practical perspective on how to stay grounded when the pressure is high.
Attendees then have the choice of spending the afternoon with optional small group outdoor networking activities sponsored by Bush Kornfeld and Sussman Shank or free time to network, explore, hike, visit the spa or just take in the beauty of the scenic Columbia River Gorge. The choice is yours! We'll wrap up the evening with a casual Closing Reception sponsored by Newpoint Advisors, providing the perfect opportunity to reconnect and reflect on the day's discussions.
