Kevin Hamernik, FORVIS
Kevin leads the RSS team nationally with more than 25 years of experience. Prior to joining FORVIS, he was an owner and the managing member of an Indianapolis boutique firm where he specialized in bankruptcies; turnaround restructuring; strategic, financial, and operational consulting; and advisory services in other special situations.
He has consulted with and represented public and private companies, family offices, and private equity groups in dynamic work environments. As a seasoned, senior financial advisor, Kevin has not only acted as an advisor but also served in unique capacities including CRO, CH11 U.S. Trustee, receiver, and interim officer. He is capable of quickly ascertaining challenges, implementing and/or recommending actions to achieve desired changes and improvements, and communicating and negotiating with all constituents in attempt to align parties.
Kevin was formerly with KPMG in Chicago. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor. Kevin was a co-founder of TMA Indiana, formerly known as the Indiana Association for Corporate Renewal (IACR).
He is a graduate of Indiana University Bloomington, with a bachelor's degree in accounting.
David Hunt, First Merchants Bank
During his thirty years of commercial workout lending in central Indiana, David Hunt has witnessed first-hand the past several economic cycles and their impact on the commercial banking industry, each with its own unique set of challenges and opportunities. Since 2011, David has been a member of the Special Assets team with Muncie, Indiana-based First Merchants Bank which has experienced explosive growth during his tenure. In August of 2021, David was named Director of Special Assets at First Merchants, a position he continues in today. In 2022, David served on the integration team in First Merchants’ acquisition of Farmington Hills, Michigan-based Level One Bank, representing the bank’s largest merger to date. David is a resident of rural Hendricks County, Indiana along with his wife Deb and two teenage children.
Erik Miner, Regions Bank
Erik Miner serves as market executive for Regions’ Indiana footprint and leads the Commercial and Industrial team for the bank’s Indiana and Greater Illinois territory. An industry veteran of more than 33 years, Erik’s financial expertise lies in the areas of relationship management, including small, middle and larger corporate financing; treasury/liquidity management; international accounts; commercial real estate; public finance, merchant card processing; and mergers and acquisitions and leasing.
Erik is actively engaged in the Indianapolis not-for-profit community, having served on numerous boards and committees. Erik currently serves on the Indiana Community Business Credit Corporation, Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee, Indianapolis Housing Partnership and 500 Festival Board. He has also served as an educator for the Robert Morris Association, Central Indiana Chapter. Erik is an Ardath Burkhart Series Graduate and a United Way of Central Indiana Leadership Giving contributor for over 25 years. In 2004, Erik received Junior Achievement of Central Indiana’s distinction as “Indy’s Best & Brightest” Under 40 in the Banking and Financial Services category.
An Indiana native, Erik graduated from Merrillville High School. He earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from DePauw University in 1990. While at DePauw, Erik studied abroad in Essex, England, as part of the University’s Independent Foreign Studies program. He also holds a Masters of Business Administration from Indiana University. Erik and his wife Jennifer reside in Indianapolis with their four children.
