Brian Andrews, Senior Instructor for Banking Department of Finance at LSU
Brian Andrews is the Executive Director of the Real Estate Research Institute at Louisiana State University and the Hermann Moyse, Jr. / Louisiana Bankers Association Instructor in Banking in the Department of Finance at LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business. He is a Senior Instructor and has been teaching courses in commercial banking and commercial real estate since 2008. He holds the Certified Mortgage Banker designation from the Mortgage Bankers Association and is a candidate for the CCIM designation. Andrews is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, serving as a member of the Academic Advisory Committee and as an instructor for the Launch Academy, the Urban Land Institute, serving as a member of the ULI Louisiana Management Committee and as an instructor for the UrbanPlan and Real Estate Diversity Initiative programs, the Risk Management Association, serving as a board member of the Mid-South Regional Chapter and as an instructor for the RMA’s professional education programs, and as an instructor for various programs sponsored by the Louisiana Realtors Association. He is also the program manager for the undergraduate Commercial Real Estate Initiative and the undergraduate Commercial Banking Initiative at LSU and also the program manager for the Credit Analyst Education Program, a collaboration with the Louisiana Bankers Association. Andrews authored the 2022 Commercial Alternative Mandatory continuing education course for the Louisiana Real Estate Commission.
Louis Bartels, Commercial Banker for B1bank
Louis Bartels is a currently a VP in the Commercial Banking department at b1BANK in New Orleans. Louis has worked in commercial banking for 15 years, with a wide array of additional experience in underwriting, private banking, and small business banking. He is a native New Orleanian, and also serves on various local non-profit boards in the education sector.
Billy Hoffman, Middle Market Commercial Banking for Hancock Whitney
Billy Hoffman earned his BS from USM in Accounting and MBA from UNO in Finance. He completed Graduate School of Banking at LSU, and has been involved with Middle Market Banking since 1999. Billy started with the Management Training program at Whitney, was a Relationship Manager until approximately 2008, a Team Leader until 2015, and has since been a Group Manager.
Evan Singer, Senior VP Chief of M&A for First Guaranty Bank
Evan Singer has been connecting people, transactions, and processes for over 16 years, overseeing $1,000,000,000 of bank mergers, $500,000,000 in loan originations, and worked out $250,000,000 of bad debt. Evan has experience in deal structuring, workouts, note on note financing, due diligence, deal negotiation, loan sales, real estate, receiverships, and sales. Evan has overseen Compliance, BSA, Fintech software installations, lending, collections, purchasing, and facilities.
